About Me

Hazel uses the sea and the life within it as a source of inspiration for her designs. After graduating from Epsom School of Art and Design, Surrey, where she studied jewellery and silversmithing, she returned to her native East Anglia.

The jewellery designs capture some of the different moods that the sea can evoke. This may be the playful bubbles from surf, as it rolls up the beach or the meditative state that the patterns in the sand might leave you in. These samples of textures are displayed as simple geometric shapes.

Commissions are always welcomed, a few examples of which are displayed throughout the site. One commission of importance was to make a brooch in 18ct gold for the Sheriff of Norwich to be worn on official occasions. This is now part of the City Treasures.

Other commissions may be as simple as choosing one of the textures displayed throughout the gallery, the style of jewellery and maybe a stone to complete a piece. Please email Hazel at hazeljewellery@yahoo.co.uk for further details, or to see which combinations of textures and stones are currently in stock. Rarely are two pieces ever made the same, except as part of sets, which makes each piece individual. However a piece can be matched up without any problems.
